The Long Mountain Outfitters LLC company was closed down in 2016, and Phoeniz Defence continued with Armorer Operator training. LMOLLC had imported a small quantity of Barrett M82A1 rifles from Israel as part of the training program. These rifles were later sold as excess and the following is a true and accurate statement:
Barrett M82A1 serial number: 5803
Was used by snipers of Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) in their long-term battle against the PLO and Hamas, in Israel, from mid 1990's until about 2008 when they were replaced in service. LMOLLC purchased these directly from the Israeli government forces involved, and imported them to the U.S. for our government armorer training programs.
These rifles were some of the few true combat use guns to be offered on the US market in many years. This rifle was sent to the armorers at Barrett Firearms and gauged, repaired if needed, and tested. It is safe to fire.
