GALIL

The Galil is a series of Israeli built rifles designed in the 1960's by Yisrael Galil and Yaacov. These were made by Israel Military Industries aka (IMI). The Galil design was a blend of the Finnish Valmet and Kalashnikov AK-47. Most Galils are chambered for either the 5.56×45mm NATO or 7.62×51mm NATO cartridges. The Galil series of weapons is in use with military and police forces in over 25 countries & enjoyed by recreational shooters. There were three base Military models the Galil ARM, Galil AR & Galil SAR. The Micro Galil or MAR rifle was introduced in 1995 and primarily used by Israeli special forces. The current modernized version of this rifles series is the Galil ACE offered in many calibers.
