Madsen M50 SMG Parts Kit. The Madsen M50 sub machine gun was introduced in 1950 in Denmark and was a modified version of the M/46. The M/50 is made of stamped sheet metal. It is an open bolt design which means it fires when the bolt is in the locked back open position with a fixed firing pin. The M/46-M/50 share a unique design in that the firearm is stamped from 2 pieces of sheet metal which are shaped with an integral rear pistol grip and magazine housing. It features a folding stock that is right side folding made of tubular steel. The Madsen must be held with both hands, this is because of the Madsen's safety lever located at the rear of the magazine housing. - VERY GOOD- all original parts; none to 30% original finish; original metal surfaces smooth with all edges sharp; clear lettering, numerals and design on metal; wood slightly scratched or bruised; bore disregarded for collectors firearms.
- GOOD- some minor replacement parts; metal smoothly rusted or lightly pitted in places, cleaned or reblued; principal lettering, numerals and design on metal legible; wood refinished, scratched, bruised or minor cracks repaired; in good working order.
- FAIR- some major parts replaced; minor replacement parts may be required; metal rusted, may be lightly pitted all over, vigorously cleaned or reblued; rounded edges of metal and wood; principal lettering, numerals and design on metal partly obliterated; wood scratched, bruised, cracked or repaired where broken; in fair working order or can be easily repaired and placed in working order.
