If you would like to turn your MP5 pistol into a legal rifle with a 16 inch barrel length this kit works and provides a cool look.The barrel extensions are made from steel and work with MP5 pistols that have 1/2"-28 right hand threads. Permanently attach to your pistol or SBR to bring the barrel length to 16". The extensions have a 5/8"-24 thread on the end to be able to install a flash hider. There is a spot drilled location on the rear for drilling across the extension for installing a blind pin then welding over the pin to satisfy the ATF's requirements for permanent barrel attachments. These can also be silver soldered or welded half of the circumference to be considered a permanent attachment.
Barrel Sleeves are made for our barrel extensions to be threaded on to cover up the metal extension. The rear is not threaded, but the front uses a 5/8"-24 thread to attach on the end of the extension.
The longer designs are made from two pieces and thread together at the back. The rear portion doesn't have internal threads and can't be converted into a real suppressor.
